Jennifer Devey, DVM
Dr. Jennifer Devey graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1988. Following an internship and residency at the Animal Emergency Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin under mentorship of Drs. Tim Crowe, Becky Kirby and Jan Kovacic, she became Board certified in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in1996. Dr. Devey was subsequently the Director of the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Service at South Paws Veterinary Referral Center in Springfield, Virginia, then served as Director of the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Service at Michigan Veterinary Specialists and Director of Interns, and as an emergency and critical care specialist and co-director of emergency and critical care internship and residency training program with Dr. Tim Crowe at Carson-Tahoe Veterinary Hospital in Carson City, Nevada. She is also the immediate past Chair of the Exam Committee for the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.
Dr. Devey has published over 30 scientific abstracts, articles and book chapters on topics including trauma, wound management, respiratory support, evaluation of non-invasive monitoring devices, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and enteral nutritional support. She is a member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society and the human counterpart - the Society of Critical Care Medicine. She is very active in teaching and clinical research. She lectures extensively on emergency and critical care and teaches emergency medicine workshops across the United States and internationally.
